Please can you help me look-up any info on my grandmother Ada Shumacher's ancestors??? Any kind of info would help me out. Here is the info I have:
The Edwards side of my family are from Bristol,Wisconsin. They were farmers in the Bristol area. My grandfather's Name was Raymond Edwards he was born on April 9, 1893 and passed away on December 24, 1973.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elmer D. Edwards. He had three Brothers, Howard(Whitewater,Wi), Harold(Plover,Wi), and Earl(Milwaukee,Wi) and one sister Cora Hansen(Kenosha,Wi).They have all passed on also. My Grandfather (Raymond) married my grandmother on December 10, 1917. My grandmother's name was Ada E. Schumacher. She was born on April 22, 1897 and she past away on April 10, 1960. Her father's name was John Schumacher and was from Forestville, Wisconsin. She had four brothers and six sisters, They are Otto(Forestville, Wi), Emil(Sturgeon Bay), Elmer(Forestville, Wi), Harold(Racine, Wi), Mrs. William Freitag(Milwaukee, Wi), Mrs. Mary Kellar(Milwaukee, Wi), Mrs. Emma Lux(Milwaukee, Wi), Viola(Greenbay, Wi), Leona(Greenbay, Wi), Lilly(Greenbay, Wi). I am Desperately trying to find someone that is related to one of my ancestor's, either on the Ewards's side or the Schumacher side.
Also, I had wrote to the Algoma Public Library some time ago and the information I received back was as follows:
They found a marriage certificate for a "Johan Schumacher & Bertha Batke or (Badtke) who were married June 3, 1887.
Father was Karl Schumacher
Mother was Wilelmine Braun
I also received Obituaries form the paper and it was for a J.C Schumacher from Feb 8, 1935 and it did have my grandmother's name and all her siblings. Also one form Bertha (Badtke) Schumacher died on June 18, 1943 which mentions my grandmother and her siblings also. And they state that they lived in Brussels but, they had the service in a Methodist church in Algoma.
I am truly trying to find out Brtha Badftke's mother and father name's and John C. Shumacher's mother and father name's. If I could get copies of any info you find. I will send you the money for any info that you find.
