I am looking for data on the Christian Sager family. They immigrated from Mecklenburg in 1853 (to Canada?), wife, Caroline. I have no idea where? They had 6 children born in Canada. Christian applied for citizenship in the US in 1870; he died in 1871, don't know where. Charles William Sager was born in Canada in 1859. He later married, possibly in Canada, to Amanda Henrietta Whipple (or could be Griffin) sometime in 1880's. I found the family in 1870 in Detroit Wayne, Michigan (erroneously under the name Soger). I have only been able to find Charles and Amanda in Wayne, Ecorse, Michigan in 1900.

Lived in Granville Co. that later became, Granville-Bute
and then Franklin Co. NC. They lived in the area of Crooked Creek, Tar River area
Neighbors were Arendell's, Perry's, Ferrell's, Cooley's,
Thomas B. Sanders married Caroline E. Arendell. Bailey Perry was a bondsman for the marriage, Neighbors married neighbors most of the time. Thank you very much.

JW, as he called himself, was born 19 Jan 1897. Parents:
Charles and Annie (Smith) Sanders.
Have searched 1900 US Census for JW and family-parents and 6 children, Fannin Co. Haven't found them.
In 1910 US Census, the family has moved to Young Co. Found the family. JW is 12 years old.
1920, family has moved to Floyd Co. JW, 22 yrs, and a younger brother, Oral-18, are in separate dwelling than rest of family.
Can't Find JW after the 1920 Census. I was told he died in 1966 while fishing somewhere on Lake of the Pines, East Texas, and buried in Overton, TX. Have found no SSDI, wife nor children.
