COLE, Lester
Country: US
State: Hanna, WY
Date Submitted: February 6, 2005
Notes:
Lester, my grandfather was born July 14, 1906. His father's name was John, who was a "cowpuncher" in Wyoming, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada. John's wife's name is unknown. They moved to the US from Ireland in about 1880. John tended horses for the miners in Hanna and sold ice and ice cream from a wagon in early 1900's. Lester had a sister name Katherine (Kate). She married a Richard's and moved to Pasadena, CA. Her daughters name I believe was Loretta. John followed her to CA at some point. Lester worked for Sinclair Refinery in Wyoming, St Louis and Wellsville, NY. Scant bits of information are available about this family. The above is all I know. I would love to continue in some direction with this family search.

COLEMAN,
Country:
State:
Date Submitted: January 14, 2005
Notes:
Henry Coleman and his brother, name unknown, traveled from Ireland to the US in the early 1800s. However, 1850 census show Henry was born in Prussia, I know he could have been born in Prussia but traveled from Ireland. I found a Henry Coleman whom arrived in 1819 at age 25; that would have made him born in 1794. The 1850 census shows him 65; born in 1785, 9 years different. If you could tell me how to get a copy of the ship records; Schooner Experiment which docked in Philadelphia 8/21/1819, National Archives' Series Number 425, Microfilm Number 28, List Number 182 so I may see if another Coleman is listed with Henry Coleman I would sincerely appreciate it.

COLLINS, Albert and Eddy (or Ada) Lee
Country: USA
State: Ada , AL; Albert possibly AL
Date Submitted: June 20, 2005
Notes:
Albert (b ca 1882) and Ada Lee Baker Collins (b ca 1885) were md 1899 Madison Co., AL. In the 1910 cs these ch were listed: Jesse, Mary or May, Belle, Lillie, Thomas and Edwin - in that cs the family was living in Lincoln Co., TN, I have been unable to locate them at all in 1920 and unable to find any record at all of any of them.
Ada was often listed as Eddy Lee or Eddie Lee and was dau of Peter T. and Martha (Goforth?) Baker of Madison Co., AL. In 1910 Martha was listed with them as a widow and Albert's mother-in-law.
When Eddy's half sister, Mattie Lillian Baker Nix, died in 1952, the obit listed Mrs. Eddy Lee Collins of Arkansas as her half sister surviving her. I have not been able to locate this Collins family in AL, TN or ARK. HELP!
