CAIN, Patrick and Michael
Country: Ireland and Blackford County, Indiana
State: Londonderry, Ireland
Date Submitted: January 28, 2006
Notes:
I am hoping that someone can help me find information on my gg grandfather's siblings and his mom and dad. My gg grandfather's name was Patrick Cain. He emigrated from Londonderry, Ireland to the U.S. in 1859. He was born 11/01/1840. He married Catherine Coleman in Wayne County, IN (whom was also from Ireland)and raised a family in Hartford City, Blackford County, Indiana and he had a brother named Michael that lived in Dunkirk, Jay County, IN. There were no parents listed on Patrick's death certificate, but on Michael's death certificate, it says his parents were James and Ellen Cain. It says he was born in Derry, Ireland and it lists his parents as being born in Derry also. A grandson of Patrick told me that Patrick's last name was actually McCain but he changed it to Cain. So far, I haven't found any evidence of that.
