He was widowed ca 1840, left the sons with his sister, Rosie Crovo and came to the USA where he md Amanda Weaver of Augusta, GA. Peter Bailey was married to Mary Ann (Zumwalt) Bailet and came to California in 1849. They are the Mr. & Mrs. B noted in the "Shirley Letters". She died in 1851 but he is reported to have died in Sacramento City, CA in 1873. Can anyone help with more information about my distant grandfather?
