DOUSKURT

I'm hunting for my G Grandfather, whose name was Stanley Douskurt. A little history: He was born in 1883, come here with two sisters. I do not have their names. Arkansas 1910 Census says he arrived in 1901. Arkansas 1920 Census says he naturalized in 1916. Arkansas 1930 Census- whole family can\'t be found. WWI Draft Card list Russia as his homeland, along with the Census\'s. Family states that Stanley went to the pen during or around the 30\'s and was let out due to health reasons, he had TB and was dying. He died in March of 1936. His son Alex a.k.a. Ollie is my Grandfather. His name has been spelled all over the place in various ways. He owned a Lithuanian Bible and his name was written in it as Stanley Dascart. Although, my Great Aunt Vicky listed his first name as Fount Stanley Douskurt in her Obituary, I can\'t find any records other than those I have found. I would love to find his prison record, an immigration record, the names of his sisters and where he come from. Through records I\'ve found his name listed as Stadily Descort Stanly Dauskurt Stanley Douskrt Stanley Douskurt-the way the family has spelled it for years now. I\'ve been told that the sisters either settled in New York, or Chicago. I\'m not sure, without knowing their names, I have no idea how to discover those two. I am for sure they were sisters, my Aunt has a huge framed picture of them together. (I have not seen it yet) Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have been researching him since 1991, and still haven\'t given up on finding him. Thank you, Stephanie Yarbrough Stephanie.
