It all started very innocently. I was off to return a library book to
our local library. At the counter there was a gentleman with a box.
Inside the box were two cats (yes, in the library)--a mother and one
kitten. The mother was very thin, and it was apparent that she was
still nursing. She had been giving all she had to that kitten, who
in contrast seemed quite robust.
