WINNERS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ==>
Everton's Computerized Family File, Vols. 2 & 3, 1400s-present Family
Pedigrees --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Combined,
these family group sheets provide information on approximately 389,000
individuals from all fifty United States and around the world (including
Canada, England, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Prussia,
Scotland, Sweden, and Switzerland).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ==>
Everton's Computerized Family File, Volume 4, 1400s-present Family
Pedigrees --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Family
group sheets, such as those collected in this database, are among the most
useful types of records because they compile information on entire
families.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ==>
Birth Record Index: United States/Europe,
900-1880 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Over
1.8 million individuals have been located on these databases that contain
both a birth year and location. Records that did not have at both a year and
location were omitted from the compilation. Records with a birth year after
1880 were also omitted.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ==>
Everton's Computerized "Roots" Cellar, 1640-1990 Family
Queries --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Family
queries, such as those collected here, are useful because they help
coordinate the efforts of family history researchers seeking information on
the same family lines. Generally, when you find an ancestor in this data
set you'll learn their birth date and location, death date and location,
and residence. You'll also find out the name of the family history
researcher who contributed the query. By getting in touch with that person,
you may be able to combine efforts and learn even more detailed family
history information.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ==>
Egle's Notes and Queries of Pennsylvania,
1700s-1800s --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What
you'll find:
- Genealogies, family sketches, and biographies of central
Pennsylvania families - Lists of early settlers and soldiers of various
wars - Genealogical source records such as early wills, church records,
marriage and death records, tax lists, and lists of early immigrants and
frontiersmen.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ==>

Index --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This
database contains approximately 800,000 records from 87 counties in the
state of Ohio. It was prepared by the Ohio Genealogical Society and
represents all the Ohio counties that existed in 1880.

A Minor
Naturalization -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This
week we look at a record that we have not utilized in this column before: a
minor naturalization.
A minor naturalization does not mean:
That
the individual was a minor at the time of the naturalization. That the
individual worked in a coal mine (that’s a miner, not a minor).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ==>
Early Naturalization
Records -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Behind
every naturalization document is the story of an individual who was
expressing his or her desire to become an American citizen. The decision not
only changed the lives of these individuals, but it impacted the lives of
their children and grandchildren as well...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ==>
Canadian Census and Naturalization
Records -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Censuses
were first conducted in what is now Canada in the seventeenth century.
These–and subsequent censuses conducted up to the year 1851–were scattered
and selective in regard to the time periods in which they were conducted and
the areas enumerated. These very early censuses generally listed only the
head of the household, his/her age and occupation, the number of family
members, and perhaps the person’s birthplace and religion and a few other
facts...

Census Extraction
Forms -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Census
extraction forms are doubly valuable: not only do they allow researchers to
see the format and column headings for various census years (especially if
the schedules themselves are hard to read), they also provide a clean and
convenient method for extracting and filing important information you
find.

Today's Map - (New Orleans and Vicinity, Louisiana,
1819) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shows
property lines and landowners between the city limits and Bayou Saint John.
Spanish and French. Pen-and-ink. Mounted on cloth backing. This map is an
1873 copy of the original 1804 map copied by Pintado (in Havana in 1819) and
verified by Pilié, the New Orleans Surveyor in 1838. Map reflects
information compiled by Pintado in 1795-96 and set down by Trudeau in
official records in 1804. Copy imperfect: Waterstained.
