Research Results that Touch You
Have you ever shed a tear or had goose-bumps when reading through an old record? Seasoned researchers know what I mean and those more recently interested
in family history have much to look forward to.
Did the item make your eyes teary, solve a family mystery, or give a sought-after breakthrough? Did it tell about the person's unhappy interaction with the
government and maybe show a stubborn streak of an ancestor? Did it show how unfairly the government treated a group of immigrants? Did the record show
that an ancestor was a proud citizen? The records of the U.S. National Archives and other governmental entities are full of such emotion producing records.
