One of the fascinations for me as a genealogist is learning new things. By necessity we must be researchers of geography and history in order to
effectively locate the records created for and about our forebears. Family relationships are crucial factors in the development of our ancestors'
characters, the lives they led, and the choices they made. In the same way, physical events and societal influences often significantly altered our
ancestors' lives--and sometimes the direction of society itself!
